FOUNDERS - THE BABE FAMILY
FOUNDERS - THE BABE FAMILY
On Monday afternoon, October 5th, 2020, Harry Babe Jr. succumbed to death by suicide. This is an absolute tragedy, not only for his wife, Jen Babe of 25 years, children (Eddie, Samantha, Erik) and grandchildren (Bella, Eddie Jr, Joey, Harry), but for ANYONE who has had the blessed opportunity to know Harry!
He had a passion for motorcycles, cars, and family. Harry was an amazingly brilliant mechanic whose hands could fix anything.
Harry’s wife had speculated that he was in a motorcycle accident eighteen months prior to his death, but we will never know why Harry died by suicide. While it might have appeared that he had everything to live for, it might not have felt that way to him.
Jen, her children, and grandchildren knew that this loss could not be in vain and that a conversation, and support for mental health needed to start somewhere. With this driving force, Harry’s Hands to Help and Heal™️ (Harry’s Hands) was started.
Harry's Hands to Help and Heal™️ is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a dedicated network of volunteers serving the Delaware County Communities to ease and prevent mental health/suicide
